Our health program began in response to the tragedy of the October 2002 Kuta bombing with assistance at the site and medical and financial support to over 90 bomb victims.

Mobile Clinic
The clinic project was begun in 2003 and made possible through generous donations from  the Swiss Government and SAFM Radio, Adelaide, Australia. The mobile clinic is staffed by a doctor, a nurse and a driver. During the period of 2003 – August 2006, the clinic had provided dental care and treatment, general health examinations and pap smears at various locations, including orphanages and elementary schools to 6,039 people in 9 regencies of Bali.

The year of 2006 – 2011 health program plan aims to improve the level and quality of the island’s public health through various well-focused, effective community-based health programs.  The areas of priority are Bangli, Klungkung (Nusa Penida), Karang asem and Singaraja, targeting mothers (reproduction health) and children (dental and ear-nose-throat care and treatment) in remote villages. We also provide general health examination for the needy people throughout Bali. The program plan actually continues the work done before but in more systematically manner and better planned. We are hoping that we will increase the program achievement since its started 3 year ago.

Annual budget for running the current health program is approximately USD 22.500.  We are hoping to get financial support for running this program.

The five-years program plan and the cooperation amongst parties signing the MoU on Mobile Dental Clinic ensure that the mobile clinic will operate 6 days in a week.

Audiologist
Once each week, villagers can come to Bali Hati for hearing evaluations and suggested treatment.  There is no charge. This service is provided in conjunction with Foundation Senang Hati.
